Appendix - Importing Data Into Keypas - Key Stage 4 file specs

Local Authorities will not be collecting individual sets of results from schools for KS4 (though LA can undertake a separate KS4 Exam Board Results exercise.) The data that can be imported into Keypas is provided by the DfE as a file containing results for pupils in all state funded schools in the LA area.

KS4 Provisional/Final results from DfE

Used for: Viewing of schools pupil-level provisional or final results.

Files available from: Analyse School Performance (downloads)

When: Typically released with the Checking Exercise in September/October.

Import route: Import > KS4

Contains: KS4 examination results and indicators

You can import Key Stage 4 Data by navigating to Keypas > Imports > Import New File > KS4.

This wizard imports the LA version of the KS4 file obtained from Analyse School Performance.

On ASP the download is labelled "KS4_Pupil_provisional"

Please check whether you are importing the provisional or revised/final file and choose the corresponding version in the selector below.

Any import for the same year and type (provisional or revised / final) will overwrite any previously stored data for that year and type, this data will also not be editable in Keypas.

Please note: All files must be closed when uploading.

Please, select the correct options and click Add Related Files to pick the file to import. Then click Upload to start uploading.

While uploading, click Cancel Upload to stop the process.

ZIP files are allowed to be uploaded. The files they contain will be used in the import. Directories within ZIP files will be ignored.
