Virtual School: Using Current CLA Cohort With Exam Data

You can now import exam data for pupils in your virtual school regardless of whether they are educated in your local authority and they will show up in your Nova reports.

Please note that this data source is only available for KS4 reports using the Results Day source.

Here's what you need to do...

1. Make sure all the relevant pupils in your Current CLA Cohort have a ULN and any other contextual data that hasn't automatically pulled through from the census. 

As you can see above, Matthew Saxe does not have a ULN so if you want to see his exam results you will need to manually enter his ULN.

2. If there are pupils that entered care after the period recorded by the last 903 census you can export the Manage Current CLA Cohort grid, add those pupils to the bottom of the CSV, and import them using the Current CLA Cohort import.
3. Your Current CLA Cohort has now been updated and you are ready to import exam results; you can now import exam results for pupils who attend schools inside and outside of your LA.

The above image shows the minimum fields you can use to import results for a single exam record, however you should include as many fields in your CSV as you can. 

4. You can now run any CLA KS4 Nova report and choose to use your Current CLA Cohort.
