EYFSP Data in Nexus
The following table describes the EYFSP data in Nexus that will apply from the 2022 assessment year.
The Valid Entries for the Learning Goals equate to the teacher assessments of Emerging (1), Expected (2) and Absent (A).
Only the Learning Goals (01-17) can be edited in Nexus. The counts are calculated within Nexus by counting the number of pupils who achieve at least the Expected level for the AOL or overall group of goals. If a child is assessed as Absent for a learning goal then all learning goals must be marked as Absent. No child marked as Absent will be included in any reporting calculations.
Good Level of Development (GLD) Measure
Children will be defined as having reached a good level of development at the end of the EYFS if they
achieve at least the expected level in:
- The early learning goals in the prime areas of learning (personal, social and emotional development; physical development; and communication and language) and;
- The early learning goals in the specific areas of mathematics and literacy.
The GLD measure is supported by a measure of the average of the cohort’s total point score across all the early learning goals
