Perspective Lite is your schools own access point for LA data and it's important that the correct contact information is held for each Head Teacher, so they are as engaged with the system as possible.
At the moment, schools can maintain their own users and new accounts (for more information on that, see the Perspective Lite - Setting up your users guide) however, only the Head Teacher can change and update their own details.
If a school contact your Local Authority directly about adding/deleting users or updating details of staff who are not the Head Teacher, please refer them to the Perspective Lite Help Centre.
If the Head Teacher leaves their post, then the Perspective Support Team can update those details.
Sending New Head Details to Support
The Support Team team have a secure import tool that updates the Head Teacher information based on the DfE number.
The importer accepts CSV files in the following format. It's also fine to send an Excel sheet and Support will convert it to CSV prior to import. The template is available for download at the bottom of this guide.

The Support Team will then run the import, which will make changes where possible and flag any accounts that weren't able to be changed. We will then let you know the outcome of the import.
Note:
Head Teachers may change all year-round, so if possible, please review your accounts regularly and let us know of any changes as soon as possible. If it works better for your LA, feel free to record the new details in the attached sheet and send them through to us in bulk. periodically.
Reasons Why the Import May Fail for a School

Note:
Support will always get back in touch with you to confirm what was/wasn't changed, so the relevant action can be taken.
