This video is a short introduction to what we currently know about 2022/23 AY primary assessments. Content is based on:
- Published information for 2022/23 (EYFS Handbook, KS1 and KS2 ARA)
- Previously published 'Future Dates' (June Phonics, KS1 and KS2 dates)
- Supposition based on previous years
Any of these elements is subject to change and LA should always refer to the latest, published guidance.
Updates made to video since initial version:
- None
Changes not yet reflected in the video:
- DfE Future Dates page now makes clear that KS1 is optional in 23/24 and in 24/25 (with suggested administration in May of the respective years)
- Changes to SATS arrangements for the Coronation bank holiday are not yet reflected. SATS tests have been pushed back by one day to start on Tuesday 9th May
- KS2 Writing TA has to be submitted now by 30th June (previously 27th June)
- KS2 results will be issued on 11th July (previously 4th July)
