Below is a list of the measures used in Insight Tables and a description for each, the descriptions assume that the current year is 2018/19 for illustrative purposes (note that the Covid-19 Pandemic has meant that trends will be adjusted for years 2019/20 and 2020/21)
This table should be read in conjunction with the main Tables article.

| Value (This Year) | 2018/19 value for the selected indicator. |
| Value (1 Year Ago) | 2017/18 value for the selected indicator. |
| Value (2 Years Ago) | 2016/17 value for the selected indicator. |
| Value Trend (This Year) | The trend value between 2017/18-2018/19. |
| Value Trend (1 Year Ago) | The trend value between 2016/17-2017/18. |
| Percentile Rank | The percentile rank for the indicator this year. |
| Percentile Rank Trend | The trend value of percentile rank between 2017/18-2018/19. |
| National Gap (DfE) | This is the gap to national using the same cohort as the DfE would use in analysis. e.g. national non-disadvantaged against LA disadvantaged. |
| National Gap (Same) | This is the national gap against the same cohort. e.g. national disadvantaged against LA disadvantaged. |
| Cohort | The number of pupils in the cohort. |
