There are two specific areas controlled from the Insight > Settings page.
- Change the data source you use for Insight Analysis (affecting both Nexus and Perspective users)
- Manage your Insight > Tables templates (including deleting and editing).
Data Sources
You can control the data sources for both KS2 and KS4 from Insight > Insight Settings > Data Source
Key Stage 2
The default data source will remain KS2 from DfE until NCER centrally receives the provisional NPD data source. At the point this is loaded, it will switch all LAs to the NPD data source automatically.
If you wish to use KS2 from AAT until the provisional NPD is available, you will need to make this change yourself through this page.
Any changes you make will only be reflected after the overnight refresh of data. Until this runs, changing the data source will have no effect from the perspective of users.
Once the Final NPD is available and loaded it will switch all LAs to this data source automatically and you will no longer be able to change it for that year. At that point there is no further need make a change in that year since the Final NPD is the best, most accurate data source available.
Key Stage 4
The default data source will be KS4 Keypas until NCER centrally receives the provisional NPD data source. At the point this is loaded, it will switch all LAs to the NPD data source automatically.
At that point, if you wish to continue using the Keypas data source until the final NPD is available, you will need to make this change yourself.

Table Templates
Templates are stored against specific academic years, change the academic year in the drop-down to edit, delete or rollover the templates for that year.
You can only see templates that you have created so your colleagues who can also access Insight will see different templates on this screen.
You have some different options through this area:
- If you want to delete multiple templates at the same time (for example to clean up templates created for a specific purpose and no longer useful), first select the templates, ensure 'Delete' is selected under Bulk Action and then click the apply button next to Bulk Action
- If you wanted to move a template forward to a new academic year (for example where you find it useful and want to have it available outside of the year in which it was created) then select 'Rollover' under Bulk Action
If you simply want to rename a template or edit the columns and rows in a template, click the template name to launch the edit template page. You can find details about the edit template page in the article Tables (AKA Dynamic Tables)
