Access to CLA analysis requires special permissions that are administered by users with the 'Can Add, Delete and Manage Users' permission within your local authority. If you're unsure who that may be, email the Nexus support team at nexussupport@angelsolutions.co.uk or call 0845 129 719.
It is the responsibility of LA staff with the 'Can Add, Delete and Manage Users' permission to ensure that the correct users gain access to sensitive CLA data in your LA. Please check you are granting access to the correct individuals before setting up Virtual Head users or changing existing user permissions.
In the event that any user with access to CLA data leaves the local authority then it is important that the administrators remove the ability of that user to access CLA data (as it will not automatically be withdrawn as part of standard LA leaver processes). Nexus users with the 'Can Add, Delete and Manage Users' permission should periodically review CLA accounts and permissions (and those of other users) to ensure that the users involved remain part of the Local Authority and in a role that requires access to CLA data.
The two routes a user with the 'Can Add, Delete and Manage Users' permission can use to grant another user access to the CLA analysis are:
Virtual Head User Type
A specific user type exists for Virtual Head Teachers that limits access in Nexus to only the CLA analysis and exports within Nova and Insight together with Keypas access for CLA and CIN features
Set a Nexus user as a Virtual Head user type by selecting ‘Virtual Head’ from the Type of User drop- own menu found in the Privileges tab of a user's details page.
Can Access CLA Analysis/Insight Permissions
Administrators can control whether a Standard user has access to the CLA analysis via Nova and Insight by toggling the ‘Can access CLA Analysis ’ permission and the 'Can Access CLA/CIN Insight' permissions. Turning the permission on adds the suite of CLA analysis reports to the user's Nova Report Dashboard selection and Insight menus. It also allows them to run the CLA export. A Standard user can be granted the permission to access CLA Analysis but NOT Key Stage Analysis if so required.
The permission can be found on the Privileges tab of a user's details page.
