KS4 Exam Board Results Imports (Exam Board files)

The vast majority of KS4 Exam Results imports should be facilitated through schools sending the Local Authority Exam Board Results files (also known as EDI files) for direct import to Nexus. 

Once received the Exam Board files can be imported to Nexus without any changes being made to the files via the KS4 Exam Results Import wizard. The video below takes you through the basic process of obtaining and importing these EDI files. (3 minutes long and silent so no need to adjust your sound)§

It is recommended that - unless your schools have refused to grant permission - you should tick 'All LA identified in school census to access exam data'. 

Performance Table qualifications not handled via the Exam Results imports will need to be submitted via a CSV file per the following process: KS4 Exam Results CSV import

Note: In terms of Children Looked After at KS4, if a CLA pupil happens to be included in the Exam Board results import (or the KS4 Exam Results CSV import) for the whole LA then the results for CLA pupils will be available to the Virtual School, BUT the VS should probably assume this will not be the case unless they are absolutely certain it will take place. Virtual School pupils should otherwise be handled via the process explained at this link.
